Unfortunately we can't have BBQ possum.... While possums
can be eaten, they are protected in Australia so we will have to
learn to live with them even when they are a nuisance.
Some councils even requires you to have a permit to trap a
possum. And you can't relocate the possum anywhere you want
as possums are territorial and they can die from starvation due to
competition with other possums. So you have to ensure the
possum is released near the place you trapped it.
But if you ever want to try possum, you can go to New Zealand as
possums are pests over there and they are not protected.
well..you could 'accidentally' knock down a possum with your car
right?
